Government boost for Elephants ahead of quarters clash
The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire have received a major boost ahead of their quarter final clash with co-hosts Equatorial Guinea by the visit to the team’s camp by Minister of Sports, Philippe Legre.

Legre joined the team at their training grounds in Malabo on Wednesday to offer them support and words of encouragement ahead of their quarter final clash.
The Minister also held a meeting with Sidy Diallo, President of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) to discuss motivational packages for the team.
The Elephants are expected to earn in excess of $100,000 per player if they win the title.
