Ghana captain Mensah happy with scoring form
Ghana captain John Mensah is revelling in his scoring form at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana captain John Mensah is revelling in his scoring form at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The central defender has scored twice at the tournament in the opener and the quarter final against Tunisia which the Black Stars 2-1 after extra time.
“I have to give thanks to God for the two goals scored so far in this competition. I played many Africa Cup of Nations matches, and to wait this time for the goals to come.
“I also want to thank my colleagues who worked very hard for me to score,” an elated Mensah told the media after victory over Tunisia.
The injury-prone Mensah is racing against time to be fit for semi final clash against Zambia on Wednesday in Bata.
